I spent more than a decade inside aerospace manufacturing — first on the floor, then in senior quality leadership, then leading process automation work that touched every department from receiving to final inspection.

Along the way I earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and learned something most small business owners are never told: the systems that keep a $200M aerospace plant running on time are not magic. They're disciplined, repeatable, and surprisingly portable.

When I started looking at founder-led businesses, I kept seeing the same patterns we'd solved in aerospace twenty years ago — unclear ownership of work, no real numbers to steer by, lead time measured in vibes, and one person (the founder) holding the whole thing together with willpower.
